Welcome to Kritanta ("we", "our", or "us"). We are committed to preserving the sacred reverent spirit of timeless Indian epics and scriptures while protecting the privacy of our readers and seekers. This Privacy Policy explains how your information is collected, used, and safeguarded when you use our mobile application (available on iOS and Android) and website at kritanta.com.
2. Information We Collect
We collect only the minimal data strictly necessary to provide an immersive, continuous spiritual reading experience:
- Account Credentials: When you create an account, we collect your email address, authentication provider ID (e.g., Google Sign-In or email/password), and optional spiritual display name.
- Reading Progress & Bookmarks: Your current card position, completed chapters, bookmarks, daily wisdom ring streaks, and quiz mastery scores are stored to synchronize your progress across your devices.
- Subscription & Purchase Status: If you purchase a Kritanta Premium subscription, entitlement data is securely processed via RevenueCat, Apple App Store, and Google Play Billing. We never receive or store your credit card or banking details.
- Device & Diagnostic Logs: Anonymized crash logs and performance telemetry collected via Google Firebase Crashlytics to diagnose defects and optimize app startup and frame rates.
3. Information We Do NOT Collect
To honor our privacy commitment:
- We do not access your device contacts, address book, microphone, or camera.
- We do not track your precise GPS physical location.
- We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to data brokers, ad exchanges, or third-party marketers.
4. Service Providers & Third-Party Infrastructure
We work only with reputable industry cloud infrastructure providers to operate the platform securely:
- Google Firebase (Alphabet Inc.): Used for user authentication, cloud database synchronization (Firestore), and crash diagnostics.
- RevenueCat Inc.: Used for cross-platform in-app subscription entitlement management.
- Google Play & Apple StoreKit: Handle all payment processing and digital subscription billing under their respective privacy policies.
5. Account & Data Deletion Rights
In accordance with Google Play and Apple App Store policies, you retain complete control over your personal data:
Method 1: In-App Self-Service (Instant)
Open the Kritanta app → Navigate to Profile tab → Tap Delete Account → Confirm your password. All your profile data, bookmarks, streaks, and account records will be permanently expunged immediately.
Method 2: Web / Email Request
Email us from your registered account email at support@kritanta.com with the subject line "Account Deletion Request". Requests are fulfilled within 48 business hours.
6. Children's Privacy
Kritanta is designed for general audiences interested in classical epics and educational reference. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe that a child has provided us with personal data without parental consent, please contact us at support@kritanta.com to have the data removed.
